This leadership position on the Technology Services, Product Development team will have responsibility for delivery of software solutions that enable our business partners to achieve their strategic and operational desired outcomes.  You will partner with multiple business areas to identify opportunities to employ technology as an enabler and a solution within your product portfolio.  You will be responsible for the design and delivery of innovative, quality solutions in a manner than meets both time and fiscal commitments. Frequent independent judgments are essential. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid’s brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes.



  • Lead a group of system engineers and/or other technical associates in successfully achieving business outcomes using innovative solution through the application of both technical and business knowledge.
  • Apply vast experience with Information Technology (IT) and recommend business solution.
  • Demonstrate team leadership capabilities; make decisions with minimal direction; act as a coach; influence tactical direction.
  • Recommend technical processes and product improvements within the business line; consider the entire organization’s IT objectives to achieve results.
  • Proactively recommend and influence process, design, and product improvements within the business line; consider the overall business organization when making technical decisions.
  • Draw on thorough understanding of project management tools, application development methodologies, and quality assurance techniques while accomplishing daily technical duties.
  • Anticipate problems; apply business and technical expertise in developing and presenting innovative business solutions.
  • Participate in the development of both tactical and strategic solutions to business partner problem.
  • Builds relationships with multiple levels of business partner peers and management.
  • Understand financial and budgetary concepts; perform salary administration.

Experience / Requirements

  • 7 years of experience in application development and delivery required


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Information Systems required.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
