Job Description SUMMARY

The primary purpose of this position is to provide expertise and analytics, overseeing the returns processes and work with our third party processors for both FE and Rx returns; lead and train analysts, and provide analytics to support FE and Rx Recall processes, reconcile funding for allowance vendors, month end reporting, Department P&L and fiscal plan. Frequent independent judgments are essential. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid’s brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes.


The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

  •  Provides reporting relating to FE and Rx returns
  •  Ensure proper funding for Rx damage and recall returns by collaborating with Rx Third Party processor, Rx wholesaler, and Rx manufacturers.  Collaborate with Category Management and suppliers to ensure accountability for vendor contracts and funding for FE recalls and returns allowances
  •  Assist in preparing the annual operating and administrative budgets related to Front End and Pharmacy returns, and participate in strategic planning and forecasting including expected annual return volumes. Monitor and reporting of monthly P&L and budget variances
  •  Identify and support initiatives focused on driving down non-billable returns, and assist in establishing performance objectives for all areas related to Pharmacy and Front End returns
  •  Develop processes to monitor, report on, and manage returns process from stores through Third Party processors - Includes database querying tools such as 1010data and MS Access
  •  Develop and optimize recall process system to include running POI Inventory, Reslot, Based on Transfer, and salvage recalls, including planogram and seasonal recalls
  •  Work with FE & Rx third party processors to help identify, solve, and eliminate processing issues to optimize returns processes
  •  Third party returns center visits including product audits, monitoring inventory levels, inspect product, work areas, and work with management to resolve operational issues
Experience / Requirements
  • Three (3) years' of experience in supply chain, reverse logistics, analytics or other returns fuctions preferred
  • Data utilizing data mining tools such as 1010data and Access, and mentoring and leading associates preferred

  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Business required
