The primary purpose of this position is to provide CAPEX project management and serve as a single point of contact for overall store repair and maintenance services for Store Operations Field Leadership at District and Region Levels. The manager will also provide quality assurance of material and workmanship for repair and maintenance vendors. Frequent independent judgments are essential. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid’s brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes.


The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

  • Perform scope/specification, bid requests, negotiation and project management of CPAEX asset replacement and building improvements
  • Provide quality assurance and monitor compliance to company standards and expectations on repairs, period maintenance and capital projects, including evaluating contractor capabilities and performance to the contracted specifications
  • Direct disaster recovery project management in the event of a natural disaster, including mandatory 24/7 on call emergency management duty on a 'once every 5 week' rotation.

  • Represent the Company in building permit, violation and licensing code compliance issues and projects
  • Review and negotiate with landlord representatives on shopping center projects affecting active stores
  • Validate CAM charges and services scope compliance
  • Works with contractors on CAPEX and maintenance projects at stores and coordinates Engineers and construction trade expert consultants

Experience / Requirements

  • Five (5) years' of experience in construction, facilities or asset management industry required
  • Three (3) years' of experience in supervisory preferred
  • Or equivalent education in lieu of experience


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) business, facilities, project management, asset management, engineering disciplines  required
