Job Description

The primary purpose of this position is to receive inbound shipments and/or load trailers for outbound shipments depending on daily job assignment. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid’s brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

• Depending upon daily job assignment as Receiver or Loader the associate will perform one of the following;
  

   
  

  Receiver - Unload and unpack incoming shipments according to predetermined guidelines.Verify the contents of inbound shipments with purchase orders to ensure all items were received. Examine all products for defects and record on packing slip and freight bill. (BOL)
  

   
  

  Loader - Load completed pallets and hand-load additional picked product onto outbound trailers for shipment to the stores, field and corporate offices.
  

• Pick product from inventory to fulfill orders. Prepare product for shipping by placing it on pallets, shrink wrapping the items, banding the items and the pallets
• Operate a tow motor and power jack when receiving, loading and restocking product
• Restock pick slots to ensure all orders can be fulfilled in a timely and efficient manner. Cycle count items in the physical inventory of the Fixture Distribution Center
• Use the Item System menu program to properly tag inbound and outbound product. Identify common product and parts without the use of SKU numbers

• One (1) year of experience in a warehouse environment preferred
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)  required
