SUMMARY

The primary purpose of this position is to schedule Pharmacists to work in store locations within a specific geographical area and to enter the corresponding payroll information. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws. Will also perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid's brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service culture. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid’s brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

  • Utilize company applications to schedule Pharmacists to work in store locations with a specific geographical area, including travel arrangements, while maintaining fiscal responsibilities and budgeting.
  • Assist District Leaders to fill schedule vacancies that occur when Pharmacists are sick, on vacation, or there is an emergency.
  • Input hours worked and sick, birthday, anniversary, holiday, and personal hours taken by Pharmacists into the payroll system on a daily basis.
  • Remain knowledgeable of federal and state employment laws and union rules to ensure all schedule and payroll information is in compliance.
  • Coordinate contingent staffing with outside vendors to help satisfy vacancies left in the pharmacy schedule as necessary.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Pharmacists in the Region
  • Input and maintain professional license and certification information. Review exception reports to ensure compliance of company policies, applicable laws and regulations.
  • Review and implement approved Pharmacist vacation requests, as approved by District Leader(s).
  • Assist with payroll reconciliation.

 Accuracy and attention to detail.
 Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks/projects.
 Typing speed of sixty (60) WPM.
 Proficiency with the Microsoft® Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).

Education

Education and/or Experience - Required

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.

• General administrative experience

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience using Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
