Job Description SUMMARY

The primary purpose of this position is to direct and manage the timely completion of all preliminary and final merchandise plans for all store projects. In addition, the incumbent must develop store plans that protect sales and margin and allow for future growth. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid’s brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

  • Utilize sales, demographic, and category management information to maximize each store merchandising layout’s potential for top line sales and profitability
  •  Allocate the department’s workload among the Layout Specialists to ensure all merchandise plans and Merchandise Executive Packages are completed timely and accurately
  •  Prepare and present recommended optimal merchandising solutions to management for approval
  •  Supervise and provide guidance and leadership as well as administrative accountability to a team of Layout Specialists and an Administrative Assistant
  •  Interact with Architectural Services department to get approved fixture plans for all store projects and challenge fixture plans to maximize linear footage, promotional space, and customer shop-ability
  •  Manage the distribution of fixture orders for each store project in a timely manner
  •  Review all final floor plans for accurate fixture and steel orders
  •  Distribute all Merchandise Plans and packages in advance of each project’s start date
  • Create, design and layout all first generation merchandising plans for prototype, segmentation, and special project plans
  • Act as the company’s official librarian of merchandising layouts
Experience / Requirements
  • Five (5) years' of experience in Retail Store Operations required
  • Two (2) years' of experience in Management required
  • Two (2) years' of experience in managing Merchandise Plans preferred
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Engineering or Marketing required
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Driver’s license for business travel, or other reason  required
