Job Description Swing Shift - 2:00 pm - 10:30 pmSUMMARY

The primary purpose of this position is to assist in the responsibility for all maintenance aspects and regulatory compliance matters in the Distribution Center. Also where applicable, assisting in all department management and facility maintenance efforts. Assisting in regulatory compliance. Frequent independent judgments are essential. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

  • Review and control department work orders to determine what equipment needs to be fixed; repair the equipment and maintain the proper documentation.
  • Ensure department performs preventative maintenance, equipment installation, and troubleshooting to ensure all equipment is operating properly with minimal down time as required.
  • Remain knowledgeable of the equipment and operating systems in the distribution center.
  • Requisition materials, supplies, and parts from vendors for operating equipment.
  • Perform process and logic control programming on utility equipment; maintain all related documentation and back up all programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all government regulatory guidelines, including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulation, etc.
  • Ensure work area(s) remain clean and free of debris.
  • Manage and promote safety awareness programs within the department.
  • Partner with Operations leadership and managers to assess work place needs, and improvements, and make recommendations to the Facilities Manager.
  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled facility inspections.
  • Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and work practices to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Provide timely response to emergency safety and health issues or Associate concerns.
  • Ensure accurate record keeping practices, incident reports, and parts inventory records.
  • Review and maintain compliance for confined spaces, LOTO compliance, fall protection, HAZCOM and other regulations as needed.

Education Experience

Three (3) years' experience in Maintenance.
