SUMMARY

The primary purpose of this position is responsible for specializing, maintaining, and providing support for all areas of the plant ammonia refrigeration system and related components such as, but not limited to Control Systems, Facility grounds, and General building operations.  The successful candidate will have a working familiarity of, High, Medium, and Low Voltage Electrical, Sanitary Processes and equipment, PLC and SCADA hardware and software, MHE equipment, and Safety Systems. The incumbent is required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

  • Plan, schedule, manage, and complete projects within a specialized field or trade.
  • Inspect, monitor and record facility processes including but not limited to: Ammonia Refrigeration (CalArp/RMP/PSM), Production (FSMA/FDA), Clean in Place (CIP) (FSMA/FDA), Waste Water (LACSD), and other processes to ensure compliance with regulatory
  • Determine unit condition by troubleshooting, conducting inspections and diagnostic tests and identify worn and damaged parts.
  • Keeps all equipment in ready-to-use condition by completing preventative and predictive maintenance schedules; installing component and part upgrades; controlling corrosion.
  • Maintain, update, and install software, hardware, and related component systems.
  • Purchase replacement parts for equipment in the facility and manage the spare parts inventory to ensure the facility is well
  • Follow current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) standards and procedures within the facility; maintain all associated
Experience / Requirements Other Skills, Abilities, and/or Training

Education Education and/or Experience

Journeyman Level experience; 2 years of trade school or equivalent combination of education and experience. Tech I, II & III, RETA- CIRO & CARO certified preferred. Food processing environment preferred.
