The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate the purchase and delivery of items for the retail stores, field offices, and distribution centers and to create summary reports detailing activities. Additionally, the incumbent provides time sensitive services to support operations and retail stores. The incumbent is required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.




The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

  • Review the weekly Merchandising Schedule to find changes or exceptions to pertinent information and to create purchase orders for construction projects; send the created purchase orders to the appropriate vendor, enter them into an Access database and the Millennium system, and file them.
  • Maintain the delivery schedules for indirect items, such as equipment and fixtures for construction projects, by interacting with vendors and notifying the appropriate associates of discrepancies and potential problems.
  • Create purchase orders for promotional items, supplies, and fixtures that are to be sent directly to stores, field offices, and distribution centers.
  • Investigate state-required reference books and supplies and order them for the stores.
  • Maintain 1,700 copiers and 3,500 fax machines used in the field by investigating malfunctioning equipment, determining if it should be replaced or upgraded, ensuring equipment is removed from closed stores and sent to the appropriate vendor, and analyzing quarterly invoices for accuracy.
  • Interact regularly with Regional Vice Presidents, Pharmacy Development Managers, and District Managers in the field regarding their equipment and supply needs and to take the necessary steps to resolve unfavorable situations.

  • Typing speed of sixty (60) WPM.


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), plus one two to three (2-3) years’ experience in an office environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
