The primary purpose of this position is to organize and oversee the daily workload for Technician associates, reassigning resources as needed to ensure all work is completed safely, accurately and timely.


The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

  • Provide instruction and guidance to Technician associates regarding their assignments to ensure uniform and consistent procedures are followed.
  • Assist in the training and development of Technician
  • Communicate the status of workflow with the Pharmacy Manager, Facility Director and other Members of Management.
  • Assist with creating daily and weekly Technician associate work schedules to maximize use of available resources.
  • Assist Technician associates with completing assigned tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure breaks and lunches are staggered to minimize idle equipment downtime.
  • Ensure consumables are staged and replenished at each point of use (i.e. printer paper, ribbon, bags, labels, pallets, etc.)
  • Ensure trash is removed as needed with particular attention to replenishment.
  • Ensure vial and cap hoppers remain filled.
  • Ensure trash and recyclables are properly disposed of, cardboard is crushed in the baler and bales are made in a timely manner.
  • Interview, hire, train, direct and discipline associates; appraise associates performance; and resolve complaints.
Experience / Requirements


This position involves managing tasks and supervising Tech associates in accordance with Rite Aid policies and applicable laws.

Education Education and/or Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • One (1) year experience or prior technician experience preferred.
