SUMMARY

The primary purpose of this position is to provide analytical and reporting functions in support of the department's goal to maximize pharmacy profitability while providing critical analysis to identify opportunities in the pharmacy space. Frequent independent judgments are essential. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid’s brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

  • Generate ad hoc reports, using basic and specialized query tools to gather data from various sources, and compile and organize data for presentation to management.

  • Act as lead Business Analyst and mentor or assist other analysts as needed.

  • Construct hypotheses, methods, and findings to support a business investigation; follow through analytical projects to conclusion and submit written business recommendations or action plans for consideration.

  • Develop what-if scenarios and business models for pharmacy services
  • Perform trend analyses to monitor generic drug and brand product profitability over time compared to other like products.

  • Monitor and report on third party and managed care performance, performance trends with physicians and senior citizens, and general pharmacy versus competitor performance.

  • Design and develop routine departmental reports that detail sales, gross profits, and market share, etc.



Experience / Requirements

  • Five (5) years' of experience in an analytical role required


Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Business required
