SUMMARY

The primary purpose of this position is to analyze data related to DEA and controlled substances for compliance by pharmacies to identify potential regulatory and operational issues and solutions.  The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid’s brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and analyze controlled substance data and controlled substance documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Analyze prescribers to identify Red Flags in prescribing patterns.
  • Support field users as a resource for DEA compliance through training and coaching to ensure we are in compliance with the laws.

  • Partner with other departments regarding compliance, investigations, research and analysis to remain consistent with company goals and objectives
  • Create and produce reports necessary for internal and external partners/agencies/law enforcement.

  • Identify potential regulatory issues and work with regulatory agencies to resolve
Experience / Requirements
  • Three (3) years' of experience in retail pharmacy operations or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification or Rite Aid Technician Training Program Certification required.

  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Business required.
