Job Description SUMMARY

The primary purpose of this position is to oversee the communications, testing and approvals for the Rite Aid Merchandising Innovation Program. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid’s brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

  •  Oversee new supplier products in test markets, including stores selection for 'fit' to testing attributes, tracking success measures, communicating to stores and coordinating materials for successful roll-out
  •  Make recommendations on innovation concepts to Rite Aid Category Management executives; communicate weekly updates on tests after the project has been approved and the roll out schedule has time line determined
  •  Work with respective departments on the approval of all signage and fixtures, ensuring they meet Rite Aid's style guide; create installation guides/instructional bulletins for all signage and fixtures
  •  Work with the Merchandising Plan-o-gram department and 3rd party merchandising team to ensure all plan-o-grams are uploaded, appropriate strips/labels are generated per the project roll out time line, and that the project is executed and completed by the 3rd Party Merchandising Team per the established time line
  •  Set up department, ordering, and final disposition of product including any necessary return merchandise
  •  Monitor, track, and provide a monthly P&L on all product and merchandising initiatives to the Director and SVP of Merchandising, including verifying Analytics team is properly communicating program results
  • Verify incremental contracts are submitted per established time line
Experience / Requirements
  • Three (3) years' of experience in a retail environment required
  • Or equivalent education in lieu of experience
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) business or a related field required
