The primary purpose of this position is to provide managerial oversight and analytical support for pharmacy replenishment programs, including 340b programs.  Frequent independent judgments are essential. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid’s brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes.


The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

  •  Oversee proper execution of 340b programs to ensure program profitability. Direct and coordinate pharmaceutical distribution and replacement process to eligible participating pharmacies
  •  Support overall 340b inventory replenishment accounting needs for journal entry requirements and reconciliations; including maintaining expense vendor accounts and ACH payment accounts  Monitor and report on Inventory Management and related Accounts Payable systems
  •  Manage vendor relationships by serving as a point of contact for vendor account management to include five 340B gateway vendors, and over 400 covered entities
  •  Perform audits, report and resolve discrepancies between Rite Aid data and various vendors data. Complete routine security audits of third party vendors applications
  •  Conducts strategic account reviews regularly to review service needs and usage trends and is actively involved in developing relationships with key partners
  •  Design and develop routine departmental reports that detail profitability of 340b inventory replenishment programs. Generate ad hoc reports, using basic and specialized query tools to gather data from various sources, and compile and organize data for presentation to management
  •  Work with IT departments in designing systematic business solutions in the tracking, monitoring, accounting, and reconciliation of 340b pharmacy inventory replenishment programs. Document work flow, process flow, and reporting to assist in design of systematic improvements related to 340b inventory replenishment programs
  •  Establish and maintain processes relative to 340b contract pharmacies to facilitate and proactively support activities relating to acquisitions, relocations and closures
  • Maintain 340b contracts data base to include all information for managing, tracking, reconciliation and auditing of 340b contracts with all Covered Entities and Rite Aid contract Pharmacies


Supervisory Responsibilities

This position directly supervises Business Analysts, Junior Accountant, and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Rite Aid policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, directing, rewarding, and disciplining associates; appraising associate performance; and resolving complaints

Experience / Requirements

  • Management experience in accounting, pharmacy or in a corporate environment required
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS)  Business required
