Job Description SUMMARY

This position will be located in Rite Aid’s brand-new, state-of-the-art centralized prescription fulfillment center. This Central Fill facility utilizes automated filling equipment to help better serve our customers. The Maintenance Tech will execute preventative and corrective maintenance for all equipment and ensure equipment reliability to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization.

This facility operates Sunday-Thursday

Experience / Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

 

 

Setup, repair and PM semi-automated baggers, printers, scales and transport systems.

Setup, repair and PM automated tablet dispensers, labelers, cappers.

Make recommendations for modifications to preventative maintenance procedures, spare parts inventory levels and components, and equipment/facilities improvements.

Identify maintenance and reliability opportunities that will improve quality, service, efficiency, safety and work environment.

Assist with the change control process for mechanical system changes prior to implementation.

Ensure maintenance related reporting requirements are followed.

Performs failure analyses of mechanical systems, presents recommendations for improvement and implements approved corrective actions.

Oversees and assists (as needed) outside vendors and contractors.

Routine use of precision measuring instruments (micrometers, Vernier calipers). Routine use of metric measurements.

Complies with company policies and procedures and ensures compliance with state and federal agency requirements.

Trains and assists equipment operators as needed.

Operate forklift and scissor lift. Perform minor routine maintenance and repairs.

HVAC PM's and minor repairs.

Troubleshoot equipment controls including PLCs and Windows based systems.

Plumbing, pipefitting, tubing: Repair and new installation.

Facilities repair and maintenance including but not limited to doors, ceilings, walls, floors, windows, furniture and lighting.

Fabrication and repair of equipment guards, covers, cladding and other components as needed.

Education

Education and/or Experience

H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)     required.

Two (2) years' of experience in Hands-on maintenance experience on semi-automated packaging equipment in a mid to large volume manufacturing environment.  required.

Two (2) years' of experience in PLC, Welding and Reading Drawings and Schematics required.

Two (2) years' of experience in Valid NJ electrician's license a plus preferred.

Two (2) years' of experience in Valid NJ HVACR license a plus preferred.

Two (2) years' of experience in   Pharmaceutical manufacturing background a plus preferred.
