The Learning Advisor will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing and evaluating learning solutions that are strategically aligned to organizational goals and business objectives. The Learning Advisor will actively support the transformation of learning throughout the organization, in observance of Rite Aid's brand and strategy and adherence to our core values and service attributes.



The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:


  • Collaborate with key business partners to analyze and assess critical skill gaps and to design and implement innovative solutions to close these gaps.
  • Develop continuous improvements in learning solutions through review of knowledge and performance gaps, desired outcomes, learner characteristics and contexts, and improved/enhanced methodologies to improve training opportunities
  • Participate in technology initiatives for Learning and Development, including but not limited to, LMS implementation & administration, data analysis, reporting and analytics, instructional design (support or creating material if necessary), etc.
  • Support the Learning & Development Lead with project management, program management, administration of planned and implemented projects, and instructional design.
  • Oversee third party training partners to help develop the training strategy, content, and execution of training.

Qualification Requirements

To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS)  Related field, Education or Instructional Design, or equivalent experience required.
  •  3+ years of experience in  learning and development, training, and content development required, with strong emphasis in instructional design/adult learning theory and practice  required.
