Job Description
Receive goods into the warehouse, verify bills of lading and prepare merchandise for transfer to appropriate warehouse location.
- Work Safely
- Unload or assist in unloading cargo from truck.
- Count cases or items received, verify against bills of lading, and label pallets. Receiver’s signature means that invoice will be paid for amount listed.
- Maintain daily record of merchandise received.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed, including cross-training and working in other departments when needed.
Experience / Requirements
- Read and write simple sentences to understand and complete required paper work. Use
arithmetic, including division.
- Will be required to operate all machinery.
- Regularly move cases weighing 25-30 lbs., occasionally up to 70 lbs., between pallets or
from truck or floor to pallets. Pace is constant.
- Attention to detail constant during shift as every item received must be counted and
recorded.
A transfer to this position may require a criminal background check.
